There are different types of flooring available but laminated flooring is gaining popularity. Laminated flooring has a thin layer of hardwood bonded to two layers. It is also easy to install. It is refinished and glued down on a thin foam pad laid on the subfloor.Laminated flooring suffer less from humidity problems. The main disadvantage is they are very thin compare to solid wood floor which can be sanded and refinished many times.
