Govt takes steps to maintain house from tripping

Government is now making use of its funds to defend a house built at St Elizabeth Village, St Joseph, as the land surrounded it has started to slip. Officials from the Soil Conservation Unit stated the heavy gear used during the building of the huge house resulted in the ground tripping and consequently Government had build up gabions around the house to defend it.

Officials stated the work was an amalgamation of government and confidential contractors employed by the owner. Government is offering the gabions, substance, labor and know-how while the home proprietor is offering the necessary equipment. Minister of Agriculture Haynesley Benn who toured around the area of late stated that the proprietor did not pay attention to the engineer's recommendation and consequently the heavy equipment used to dig caused the land to trip.
