Jesse Owens

The Owens family lived in this home from 1934-1936 - they are listed as residents here in the city directories for those years. In 1935, at age 22, he broke 3 world records and tied a fourth in a large ten track meet in Michigan. In 1936, he received four gold medals in the Berlin Olympics.
