Ayn Rand

Ayn Rand was a Russian-American novelist, philosopher, playwright, and screenwriter. While working in Hollywood, Rand extensive her involvement with free-market and anti-Communist activism. She and her husband purchased a house designed by modernist Richard Neutra and a next ranch. Here's a picture of Ayn Rand's house, address: 10000 Tampa Blvd., taken in the 1940s when half the valley was still enclosed with orange groves. It was initially designed by Neutra for film director Erik Von Sternberg.
